Testimonial pages aren’t visited

A few years ago I had a shocking revelation: Users don’t visit Testimonial pages on websites. 

When a user sees the word “Testimonials” up in the menu bar, they think to themselves, “Oh, that’s nice! People like her!”

Do they click the page? No. 

Do they read the testimonials? No.

So it sits there. Taking up space. Looking pretty, filled with all those nice words from the people who love you. 

It’s great for an ego boost (let’s be honest—we can all use one of those from time to time!), but it doesn’t do a whole lot of actual good for creating social proof that your work actually does what you say it does. 

When you revamp your website, your designer can help you strategically place your most powerful testimonials where they will create the highest impact for your readers. Instead of being hidden away on a page that next to no one clicks, they are providing proof to how great you are to work with on your About page… how they’re living a happier life because of your program on your services page… that you solved their exact problem on your Homepage.
